Carson & Associates, Inc.: General Contractor
Carson & Associates oversaw work listed below. |
Harvill Byrd: Subcontractor
Harvill Byrd continued minor fabrication of the conduit. They pulled wires to the generator
and from the PMT to the ATS. They have plans for a Meg testing on Monday, 10/5/09. |
Howell Utility: Subcontractor
Howell Utility removed forms from the exterior Valve Vault wall as per CPR No. 4 and
backfilled with #67 Stone and compacted the remaining with SB2 to prepare for placement of
the asphalt. They grouted the holidays on the Bridge Crane Column Piers and began
backfilling and compacting SB2. Howell Utility placed the drain and rebar at the Pig
Receiving Station equipment pad and poured 10 yd3 at 2:30 p.m. GHBW was onsite for
testing and all tests were within specifications. The equipment pad had to be extended 2-feet
due to errors on the existing as-builts regarding the existing 24-inch DIP location. The
following day, HU removed forms from the Pig Receiving Station equipment pad and placed
forms for the Concrete Saddle. They completed excavating and placing subgrade for the 24- inch retaining wall footer and began placing formwork. |

Covington Roofing and Sheetmetal: Subcontractor
Covington Roofing and Sheetmetal continued placing flashing and sealing off boots. Covington Roofing and Sheetmetal made repairs to guttering as noted in Field Order No. 4. |
Edwards Metal Inc.: Subcontractor
Edwards Metal, Inc. continued placing supply and return plenums and roof supports. |
Rain for Rent: Subcontractor
Rain for Rent was onsite for observation of the Bypass System. |
Other Notes:
On Thursday, AT&T was onsite during excavation of the 24-inch retaining wall
for inspection of underground utilities. |
