East End Conveyance - The pipeline crew for the east end was not onsite during the day on
Monday or Tuesday. The crew worked at night from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. morning making
the crossing at the Hatcher property entrance. The east end crew worked Monday overnight
making their first attempt at crossing the entrance to the Hatcher property. The crew
installed one joint of 36-inch pipe to approximately Station 164+20 as specified. Progression
was slow due to the amount of utilities in the area. The crew stopped installation and had the
road backfilled before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday night; S.J. Louis completed the transition out of
Pinnacle Valley Road and across the access to the Hatcher property, as well as, the LMPS. S.J.
Louis placed two full joints of 36-inch DIP, ending at approximately Station 164+00. All DIP
was wrapped in the specified poly and installed according to the contract documents. Access
to the Hatcher property and the pump station was completed before 5:30 a.m. The S.J. Louis
east end crew returned to work on Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m. Max Hardin (S.J. Louis),
requested that all vehicles be parked outside the pump station access road corridor beginning
Thursday, 10/1/09. S.J. Louis will be working in the corridor, but access to the pump station
will be available at all times.
The S.J. Louis utility crew completed permanent stabilization efforts from Station 277+50 to
Station 305+00. The rest of the day was used for cleanup. S.J. Louis east end pipe crew advanced the pipe line approximately 250-feet, from Station 164+00 to Station 161+50.
The crew stopped pipe line installation at noon on Thursday, and performed clean-up work till approximately 2:00 pm. The crew will be off until Monday, October 5, 2009.
Klaasmeyer Construction completed the fiber optic cable relocation work at the Little Maumelle bridge. AT&T will do the cable splicing to finish the project.
Larry Wilhite (Klaasmeyer Construction) has notified AT&T that the cable is ready to be spliced, and AT&T predicted it will be two weeks until a crew can finish the splicing. |
