Contract IV: Conveyance (Pipeline)

Summary of Work Performed this week: 10/10/2009

West End Conveyance (Ranch Properties) – The west end crew worked on the pipeline installation beginning at Station 30+00, west of the railroad, and completed to Station 25+00. The crew installed the 36-inch effluent, two 18- inch influent, and the 8-inch waste activated sludge lines within design specification. The utility crew helped the west end crew stockpiling the deliveries of class 7 stone. There were a large number of deliveries of class 7 stone on East Pinnacle Road. The street sweeper was used to clean East Pinnacle Road before crews left daily.

East End Conveyance - The east end crew advanced the pipeline to the tie-in location at the Little Maumelle Pump Station. The pipeline was installed within the designed specifications. S J Louis plugged the pipeline and will complete the tie-in after pressure testing is performed. The crew mobilized equipment to the outfall area at Station 336+00 and began dewatering efforts. Two sections of DIP were installed to approximately Station 336+20 by the end of the week.
