Contract III: Pump Station
Summary of Work Performed this week: 10/24/2009
Carson & Associates, Inc.: General Contractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 1 Foreman, 1 Operator, 3 Laborers
Carson & Associates/Howell Utility oversaw work listed below and performed minor cleanup work. They grouted, repaired holidays, backfilled the 24-inch Retaining wall with #57 Stone, and placed filter fabric with clay top. HU graded the SW area of the site. They removed existing misc. DIP piping and valves from site. They placed rebar and forms for MCC Equipment Pad in the new Electrical room and poured 3yd3 for the MCC Equipment Pad and the Drain Basin Top at 11:30 a.m.
Harvill Byrd: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 0 Foremen, 0 Operators, 2 Laborers
Harvill Byrd continued with minor fabrication of misc. conduit. They completed relocation and connection of existing transfer switch to the temporary generator for power to LMPS and continued minor demo work of the existing electrical in the Generator room. The Bypass System is currently operating off the temporary generator.
Little Rock Fence Company: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 0 Foremen, 0 Operators, 0 Laborers
Little Rock Fence installed lock slide on south and north gate as per CPR No.5.
ARC Electric Company Inc: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 0 Foremen, 0 Operators, 2 Laborers
ARC Electric Company Inc. continued fabrication of the conduit for the HVAC thermostat.
Other Notes:
Clyde Frost was the RPR onsite on Monday, October 18, 2009 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Joe Freyer (LRW) was onsite on Monday to verify items to be salvaged and relocated. On Wednesday, John Williams (LRW) and Chad Cullum (LRW) were onsite to verify proper operation of the existing generator as per 01012-1 3.01 A. 1. No problems were noted. On Thursday, Max Hardin (S.J. Louis) placed crushed gravel bedding after C&A COB on 10/21/09 for access through the LMPS’s Northwest gate. S.J. Louis made the needed repairs at the gate entrance by placing barb wire to restore it to its existing condition and to secure the LMPS. LRW Maintenance was onsite to assist electricians in connection of existing transfer switch to the temporary generator for power to LMPS
