Contract II: Construction of Wastewater Treatment Facility
Summary of Work Performed this week: 10/30/2009
MFCC: General Contractor
Workforce/Manpower:
1-Superintendent, 4-Foreman, 5-Operators, 10-Carpenters, 3- Pipefitters, 11-Carpenter helpers, 11- Laborers. Max Foote Construction Co. worked a five day work week.
Monday, 10-26-09,
MFCC Finishers continued cleaning and patching the upper Aeration Basin walls. Labor crew continued working SWPPP repairs throughout the plant site. Carpenters continued installing the acoustical louvers for the Odor Control building. Carpenters continued to install wall forms for the Aeration Basin outfall box. Operators and pipefitters began installing MH-1 at the Administration building. Carpenters continued installing shoring package for the Clarifier drive deck. Carpenters began installing gang forms for the center north Aeration Basin east upper wall.
Tuesday, 10-27-09,
MFCC rained out the project at 7:30 a.m. with no measurable production was performed.
Wednesday, 10-28-09,
MFCC finishers continued cleaning and patching the upper Aeration basin walls. Finishers placed 8.5yds of concrete for the south U.V. channel wall. Carpenters began installing forms for the north A-pass strut beams. Carpenters continued to install wall forms for the Aeration Basin outfall box. Operators and pipefitters continued installing MH-1 at the Administration building. Carpenters continued installing shoring package for the Clarifier drive deck. Finishers placed 27yds of concrete for the center north Aeration Basin east jumper wall. Field tests were conducted; A/E=5.4, SL=2.75, Temp.=70 degrees. Super-P was added to the mix.
Thursday, 10-29-09,
MFCC finishers continued cleaning and patching the upper Aeration Basin walls. Carpenters removed interior forms from the U.V. channels. Carpenters continued installing forms for the A-pass strut beams. Carpenters continued to install wall forms for the Aeration Basin outfall box. Operators and pipefitters continued installing MH-1 and discharge piping at the Administration building. Carpenters continued installing shoring package for the Clarifier drive deck.
Friday, 10-30-09,
MFCC performed no construction activities today due to the heavy rains all day. There will be no construction activities this coming weekend. Note: Site is very muddy and work was shut down.
Electrique Corporation: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 1 Foreman, 2 Helpers
E.C. worked all week installing conduits for lighting and receptacles in the Odor Control building
Midwest Coatings: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendant, 1 Foreman, 1 Painter
Midwest Coatings continued priming and painting the interior CMU walls of the Headworks building.
Jocon Incorporated Building Erectors: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendant, 1 Foreman, 5 Ironworkers
Jocon Inc. worked erecting the structural steel for the Blower building.
DMG Masonry: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendant, 2 Foremen, 10 Masons
DMG continued installing the brick veneer for the east wall of the Headworks building. They continued installing the veneer for the Odor Control building chimney stack.
