Contract IV: Conveyance (Pipeline)

Summary of Work Performed this week: 10/30/2009

West End Conveyance (Ranch Properties) –
The west end pipe crew returned to East Pinnacle Road today and began work at Station
17+40. The initial trench conditions were favorable. The four barrel pipeline was installed
within design specifications to Station 13+30. The crew was slowed by heavy rain.
The utility crew worked around Station 155+00, west of the LMPS. The crew performed some
small clearing and fence removal. Several loads of Class 7 stone were used to continue
building the construction road over the RAW easement. Silt fence has been installed over the
CAW easement. The small water crossing has been built west of the LMPS.

East End Conveyance -
The east end crew resumed pipe installation in County Farm Road today. The crew began at
Station 266+55 and excavated the end of the 36-inch effluent line. The soil conditions were
favorable with no ground water present. The pipeline was advanced to Station 264+75 and
installation was within the design specifications. The crew stopped installing pipe at 1:30
p.m. because of the rain. The trench was backfilled and compacted with Class 7 stone. The
street sweeper and motor grader were used for road maintenance on Pinnacle Valley and
County Farm Roads.

S & J Construction -
S&J Construction continued work on the CAW 8-inch waterline relocation. The crew worked
on restoring site contours and cleanup. Billy Otts requested an additional test location for
water sample testing. S&J will install another test location.
