Contract III: Pump Station

Summary of Work Performed this week: 11/06/2009

Carson & Associates, Inc.: General Contractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 1 Foreman, 1 Operator, 3 Laborers
Carson & Associates completed attempts to replug the wet well. They pumped rain water
from the Bypass Channel to prepare for coring. C&A began access into the wet well. Tests
have been performed to detect toxic gases. C&A began tying sand bags to use them for a
back up pump around the existing Pump No. 4. Pump No. 4 appears to not have enough
head pressure after the additional DIP has been added to use as a backup and another option
will have to be used. They continued installing booster pump to help the existing Pump No.
4 empty the wet well. A leak was discovered in the line of the existing Pump No. 3 (Future
Pump No.4).

Harvill Byrd: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 0 Foremen, 0 Operators, 2 Laborers
Harvill Byrd continued minor demo work of the existing electrical in the Generator room and
continued installation and connection to the new Motor Control Center (MCC). They
continued installation of the temporary panel for the temporary operation of Pump No.4 for
use as a sump pump during wet well work. HB continued disconnection of existing pumps
in the Wet Well and existing pump starters at MCC.

Rain for Rent: Subcontractor
Workforce/Manpower: 1 Superintendent, 0 Foremen, 0 Operators, 5 Laborers
Rain for Rent was onsite for inspection and performed routine maintenance on the Bypass
Pumps.

Other Notes:
S.J. Louis accessed through the LMPS to deliver the pipe, manholes, and rock.
LRW was onsite to make repairs to existing pumps.
