Contract IV: Conveyance (Pipeline)
|
|
Summary of Work Performed this week: 11/19/2009
|
West End Conveyance (Ranch Properties) –
The west end pipe crew worked on the gravity sewer line in the Hatcher property beginning
at Station 24+30. The trench conditions were favorable with a dry base and stable sides.
Occasional dewatering was necessary to remove groundwater. The trench excavation was
through an area of hard shale, slowing progress but facilitating a good base for the pipeline.
The pipeline was installed within the criteria in the plans and specifications. Two new
manholes were installed at Station 27+10 and Station 29+50 in the approved manner. The 36-
inch CCFRMP gravity sewer line was installed to Station 31+09 (MH-4) by the end of the
week. GHBW performed compaction tests on the pipeline with all tests passing within the
design specifications.
The utility crew worked on the SWPPP compliance issues. The seeding and mulching
continued along the easement. The SWPPP report for this week detailed that the site
stabilization for the easement was in compliance for the first time in several months.
Max Hardin and members of the utility crew removed the water crossing at Station 102+00
and began the crossing at Station 139+00. Max Hardin stated that he had notified appropriate
parties with ADEQ and The Ranch concerning his activities.
