Contract III: Pump Station
Summary of Work Performed this week: 09/05/2009
Carson & Associates, Inc.: General Contractor
Carson & Associates oversaw the work listed below and performed minor site cleanup. C&A excavated for the Electric Utility Vault. C&A completed excavating for the trash bin equipment slab footer and placing rebar. Then, C&A backfilled and compacted the ductbact to Bar Screen/Conveyer Control panel. C&A worked in coordination with Howell Utility for the excavation and backfilling of the Metering Station equipment slab with SB2. C&A worked in coordination with Harvill Byrd for the excavation and backfilling for the 2-inch conduit for the telephone line. C&A also began cutting metal roof decking for HVAC duct.
Harvill Byrd: Subcontractor
Harvill Byrd have placed the Electric Utility Vault on the SW end of the site and connected conduit. HB continued placement of conduit from the Entergy Transformer to the Entergy power pole. HB completed backfilling the electrical to the Bar Screen/Conveyer Control Panel and placing the 2-inch telephone line. HB poured ductbank to the Electrical Utility Vault and performed fabrication of the conduit to the 24-inch Electric Actuated Plug Valve.
Howell Utility: Subcontractor
Howell Utility completed excavation of the existing 24-inch and 18-inch DIP to the wet well. The DIP has been cut and removed. Dwayne Lackey was onsite for observations of the condition of the existing DIP. All four 18-inch DIPs has been excavated and removed to the valve vault wall. Howell Utility continued removing unneeded excavated material from the 36-inch DIP excavation and hauling it off the site. HU began excavating for the Metering Station equipment slab. Howell Utility completed compacting SB2 subgrade for the Metering Station equipment slab. GHBW performed density testing on the area. Both tests passed within specifications. Howell Utility worked in coordination with JCS Concrete Specialists for pouring the Metering Station equipment pad. HU also set the curb inlet drain basin on south end of the site.
Covington Roofing and Sheetmetal: Subcontractor
Covington Roofing and Sheetmetal continued removing and replacing roofing with the approved membrane material. All existing metal decking is in good condition. They performed minor site cleanup.
Target Iron Works: Subcontractor
Personnel welded L3x3¼ additional framing as noted on Drawing S-6 at specified locations in the new Electrical Room for HVAC Duct.
Rain For Rent: Subcontractor
Rain for Rent personnel was onsite for inspection of the Bypass Pumping Operation.
Edwards Metal Inc.: Subcontractor
Edwards Metal Inc. superintendent was onsite to take HVAC duct measurements and locate onsite materials. EMI began placing HVAC duct curbs on roof.
JCS Concrete Specialists: Subcontractor
JCS Concrete Specialists was onsite to cold bend the Metering Station rebar with minor fabrication errors. On Friday, JCS Concrete Specialists poured the Metering Station equipment pad, trash bin equipment pad, and HVAC/Generator sidewalk beginning at 8:00 a.m. Total concrete delivered was 15yd3. GHBW was onsite for testing.
Arkansas Coring and Drilling, Inc.: Subcontractor
Arkansas Coring and Drilling, Inc. cored 30-inch hole for the 18-inch DIP into the valve vault.
