Carson & Associates, Inc.: General Contractor
Carson & Associates oversaw work listed below. They excavated footer and placed formwork for Pig Station Equipment Slab. |
Harvill Byrd: Subcontractor
Harvill Byrd continued placement of conduit from existing SCADA to new SCADA and pulled wires to Metering Station.

Howell Utility: Subcontractor
Howell Utility completed fabrication of an 18 inch and 24 inch DIP Header into the Valve Vault and have completed the tie-in of all four 18 inch DIPs to the existing plug valves as per CPR No. 4 as well as the 18 inch DIP per Contract. They removed and reversed the existing 18 inch Plug Valves inside the Valve Vault due to improper installation. Howell Utility removed the two middle existing 6 inch Bypass lines in the Valve Vault to prepare for placing the four 6 inch Blind Flanges.
Howell Utility placed inner formwork to prepare for placement of the 12 inch wall as per CPR No. 4. They drilled and placed the rebar for the extended 12 inch wall at Valve Vault as per CPR No. 4. HU pressured washed the existing Valve Vault wall to prepare for placing concrete and bonding agent on the extended 12 inch wall. They placed bonding material and water stop. They completed placement of exterior wall forms and poured 9yd3. Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt, Inc. was onsite for testing. All tests passed within specifications. They placed forms to prepare for pouring both saddle supports at the Metering Station. They poured 4yd3 for both Bridge Crain piers, 24 inch tee thrust block, and Valve Vault Header along with filling the voids of the existing thrust blocks. Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt, Inc. was onsite for testing. All tests passed within specifications. They performed a hydrostatic test on the remaining DIP and all Valve Vault piping as per CPR No. 4. Although a drop in psi was recorded, the tests passed by means of visual inspections. The leaks occurred in the existing 18 inch Plug Valves in the Valve Vault. LRW Maintenance has been notified. |
