Contract IV: Conveyance (Pipeline)
Summary of Work Performed this week: 09/26/2009

West End Conveyance (Ranch Properties) – This week, the west end crew laid two 18-inch PVC influents, 8-inch PVC waste activated sludge, and 36-inch PVC effluent main pipes in a Type I trench from Station 48+10 to Station 32+00. The pipeline was installed in compliance with the plans and specifications. The crew reached the railroad casings at Station 32+00 and is prepared to install the pipeline under the railroad next week. The ARV at Station 39+60 was set and the parts for the air release valves have been stockpiled for installation next week. Harvey Jordan made a visit to perform a walkthrough of the area within Pinnacle State Park. Mr. Jordan stated everything was proceeding as expected through the area and he was pleased

East End Conveyance - S.J. Louis placed approximately 700-feet of pipe from Station 171+50 to Station 164+50. All pipes were placed according to design specifications. The ARV Vault at Station 166+15, was installed on Saturday, 9/26/09. S.J. Louis continued with permanent stabilization efforts from Station 277+50 to Station 335+00. S.J. Louis completed stabilization efforts from Station 305+00 to 335+00 on Thursday, 9/24/09. Safety Klean was onsite Monday, 9/21/09, to receive the contaminated soils reported on the project. Max Hardin received documentation from Safety Klean to confirm proper disposal. Thursday, 9/24/09, Klaasmeyer Construction did begin the fiber optic relocation at the Little Maumelle River.
