Your Little Rock Wastewater provides several functions
along with multiple layers of services within each.

Possibly the most visible accomplishment for the Engineering
Services Division was the completion of the Sewer Evaluation
and Capacity Assurance Plan or SECAP that identified over
$171 million in improvements to the sanitary sewer collection
system. The engineering firm of Montgomery Watson Harza based
in Fort Worth worked with LRW to develop a 15-year capital
improvement plant to accomplish the improvements designated
in the SECAP. The plan would ultimately eliminate capacity
overflows that occur during moderate to heavy rain events.
Our Engineering staff completed a full inventory of the collection
system verifying, then mapping to the nearest two feet, the
LRW's more than 30,000 sewer lines. The information was catalogued
in the Hansen Infrastructure Management Database. Engineering
Services also coordinated the construction of new and replacement
lines to the system.
Engineering Services was also instrumental in the upgrade
to the Adams Field Plant from 72 to 94 million gallons per
day. Working with CH2M-Hill, construction should begin this
year on the 40-year-old plant. |
