The Little Rock Wastewater understands that every
dollar you earn is important to you. So it is important to
us that your dollars be spent wisely in creating a
better quality of life for you and your family.
Today, the total wastewater charge on the average bill in
Little Rock is $22.05. Your money goes for collection, treatment,
capital improvements and debt payments:

About 46 percent of the money is used for maintenance of facilities
such as pipes, pump stations and other tools used to transport
wastewater.
Around 23 percent of your bill is spent on system operations
at the Adams Field and Fourche Creek treatment plants.
Improvements to the collection system, pump stations, transportation
equipment, general plant, wastewater treatment plant and unsewered
areas represents about 11 percent of your bill.
About 19 percent of the money you pay goes to make principal
and interest payments for State Revolving Loans from 1990,
1991, 1996 and 1999; the 2001 and 2005 Sewer Bond and future bonds
and loans for unsewered areas, improvements in the Adams
Field Treatment Plant, and city wide collection system.
